Review your to do list
Reviewing what you need to accomplish for the day (I make my list the evening before) helps me get organized.
I use the Simplified Planner for my to do list and I highly recommend it. Another popular day planner is the Erin Condren planner.
Workout
Move your body! Trust me you will feel a million times better.
Whether you’re strength training, HIIT Training, running or taking a simple walk in your neighborhood. Moving your body in the morning fires up your body and brain.
There are some fantastic (and free) exercises on YouTube or you can try Beachbody on Demand if you’re looking to get started at home.
Brush Your Teeth
Like you, I have been brushing my teeth since well…forever but I still need a reminder!
Either set a reminder on your phone, or lay your toothbrush and floss out beside your bathroom sink at night so it’s one of the first things you see.
Eat That Frog
The term eat that frog comes from Brian Tracy. It means do the one thing you don’t want to do first.
It gets done and over.
Listen to the Eat That Frog audiobook.
Count Your Blessings
Start a gratitude journal, write five things you’re grateful for and start the day on a positive note.
This 5 Minute Journal is perfect to get started with.
Review Your Meal Plan
Take a look at your meal plan for the day and see if there is any prep that needs to be done for it or for tomorrow (ie: taking out frozen meat for the next day’s dinner).
Don’t meal plan? Here’s how to get started with meal planning.
Not into digital. That’s cool too, Carrie from Carrie Elle has these amazing meal planners that you can buy.
Meditate
Meditation doesn’t mean sitting crossed legged, palms out and chanting om.
It’s sitting in silence and focusing your thoughts to the present. It’s a practice and it’s a fantastic way to start your morning.
Start with three minutes and work your way up to ten.

Visualize
I’m a daydreamer and a planner. So visualization is fun for me.
Set a timer for 5-10 minutes and visualize your future self.
Hal Elrod, the author of The Miracle Morning, suggests that for five minutes that you should “visualize living your ideal day, performing all tasks with ease, confidence and enjoyment.”
Drink Water
Take your weight and divide it by half.
That’s how many ounces of water you should be drinking. By 10 am, you should have drank at least 1/4 of that amount.
Here are 8 ways to drink more water.
PS. I have this Contigo water bottle and I swear it helps me reach my water goals (my theory is it’s the straw).
Make Your Bed
I’m guilty of rolling out of bed and leaving the room.
However, if you make your bed first thing in the morning it sets a tone for the day.
