Over the past 6 weeks I’ve been working out to MBF & MBFA and I love this program (so much so that I’ll be repeating it), and I know you’ll love it too. I recorded the calories burned doing muscle burns fat and muscle burns fat advanced and wanted to share it to give you an idea of the burn the program gives you.

Over on The Bewitchin’ Kitchen, I did a lot of Beachbody Calorie Burn posts. It was always something that I was interested in searching for and liked to get a general understanding of my own results.

That being said, I do want you to understand this…

Just because I’m burning a certain set of calories, does not mean you will burn the same. This just gives you an idea.

We all have different bodies, different amounts of muscle, we weight different, and different metabolisms. Keep that in mind.

My stats:

  • Height: 5’3
  • Weight: 150 pounds

How I Measure My Calorie Burn

I use an Apple Watch to measure (I have the series 4).

When I first received the watch, I tested it with my old Polar FT4 heart rate monitor and the numbers were consistent, the polar was actually a few calories higher (less than 10). So, I’m pretty comfortable with the reading.

Is it 100% accurate? I highly doubt it is, but it’s a fun tool I use to push myself. It’s a tool, not accurate data.

I measure it using the strength training and mixed cardio settings. Flexibility days uses the flexibility setting.

What Nutrition Program I Followed

I don’t follow Ultimate Portion Fix or 2B Mindset.

Instead, I followed the principles off of my Real Food Real Life Nutrition Guide when it came to my nutrition plan.

This guide looks at food as fuel and welcomes all food groups. It incorporates your favorite foods (like pizza and cake) and has been the reason why my outlook on food has completely changed.

I have also included a sample 7 day meal plan.

I don’t drink Shakeology, in fact here are a few alternatives to Shakeology that are more affordable that you can try.

Where to find Muscle Burns Fat and Muscle Burns Fat Advanced:

MBF and MBFA are available to stream on Beachbody on Demand.

You are able to stream the workouts on your computer, iPad, iPhone, Apple TV, and Amazon Firestick. As of the time of writing this, the Firestick doesn’t stream to those of us who live in Canada.

PS: I didn’t use the BOD ropes as shipping to Canada was a little more than what I wanted to pay. What I did instead was pretend I had jump ropes, but you can find some good ones on Amazon here.

      I never completed that program. I did about half the workouts and the calorie burn was smaller about 180-200 for me.
